About Casa Mayuka

Pieces built with artistry & mastery

Casa Mayuka is a house of Indian studios: furniture, rugs, lighting and hand-built art, each made in small numbers by the people who designed it. We know every maker we carry, and how every piece is made.

The makers

Crafted by hand, made to last

The studios we carry build in small runs, so a piece is finished by the people who designed it. We photograph the work properly, keep a record of how it was made, and stand behind every piece.

Chapter One

Why

The finest work in this country has always been made in small rooms, by few hands, for the few who knew where to look.

The work was always wanted. What it needed was carriage. Photographs that do it justice, a record of how it was made, and a place in front of the people who value it.

So we built the house.

What we carry

Wood, brass, stone, cane, clay, cloth. Made in limited numbers, built with artistry & mastery.

The pieces a house is built around.

That is what we carry.

Who it is for

Who chooses a chair like a painting. Who can see the drawing behind it. Who asks for the maker’s name.

For the person with an eye for design.

You will know on sight.

  • Distinct designs

Pieces you will not find in every showroom. Our makers design in small runs, so what arrives is genuinely yours.

  • Functional art

Beautiful is the starting point, not the finish. Every piece is built to be used daily and to hold up to it.

  • Timeless durability

Solid teak, hand-tufted wool, palette-knife texture on canvas. Materials chosen so the piece outlasts the trend that inspired it.

  • Curated, not crowded

Every maker is vetted and every listing reviewed before it goes live. If it is on Casa Mayuka, we stand behind it.

The makers

Four workshops, four crafts

Everything we carry comes from a small group of independent studios across India. We know how each piece is made, and we list only what each studio makes best.

  • Furniture

    Delhi

A workshop that began with chairs and kept going: accent chairs, bouclé poufs, marble tables and consoles, each one made to order.

  • Rugs

    Bhadohi, Uttar Pradesh

Weavers in India’s carpet belt making hand-tufted wool, handwoven reversible and handloom rugs, made to the size you choose.

  • Wall art

    Chikodi, Karnataka

A working art studio where every textured canvas is painted by hand with a palette knife and signed by the artist who made it.

  • Lighting

    Rajkot, Gujarat

Teak turned by hand into pendants, lamps and side tables: rounded forms, natural wood, nothing the piece does not need.
