Inside a Delhi furniture workshop

Our furniture comes from a workshop in New Delhi that, in its own words, "was born from a desire to do things differently". It sets out "to create furniture that feels considered, distinctive and beautifully made, without becoming precious or impractical."
It started with a chair
"What began with a focus on chairs," the workshop says, "has grown into a broader collection of furniture for people who care about how their spaces look, feel and live." You can still see that in what we carry. The range runs from small poufs to statement sideboards, but seating is where it goes deepest.
The team works "closely with designers, makers and material specialists to develop pieces that balance form, function and feeling." Ask them about a piece and they talk about the small things: "the proportions of a silhouette", "the way a fabric falls", "the finish of a surface or the comfort of a seat".
Where to start
- Arlo Accent Chair: one of the workshop's best sellers: a rounded upholstered seat held between solid wood arms.
- Dice Bouclé Pouf: a soft ivory bouclé cube. Use it as extra seating, a footrest, or a side table with a tray on top.
- Curio Dining Chair: a solid wood frame in leatherette or fabric, for a dining table that should not look like a matching set.
- Calcita Marble Nesting Coffee Tables: two marble tops on pillar legs that tuck into each other.
- Axis Striped Coffee Table: a round striped resin top, the boldest pattern in the edit.
- Genesis Console Table and Clayton Selenite Sideboard: for an entryway or a long wall. The sideboard has selenite stone inlays.
- Delilah Fluted Sideboard: a fluted body with a marble top, in three widths.
Before you order
Most pieces are made to order, so making starts when you buy, not when a warehouse picks a box. Each listing shows its own dispatch time, fabric and finish options, and returns terms. Read those before you order: made-to-order furniture usually cannot be returned for a change of mind.
Measure the route as well as the room. Doorways, stair turns and lift doors decide what can reach the spot you have in mind. Where a listing gives dimensions, they come from the workshop.
